This is a "ditty" I learnt during the war. I have never seen it written down , so I have spelt it totally as I remember it. I could easily have got the pronounciation wrong, because I was only 4 or 5 years old at the time, I must have learnt it like a nursury rhyme but I have never heard it since. It is totally ingrained in my memory. I have never forgotten it and for some reason I am convinsed it was taught to me by an Americain Air Force man!! This is how it goes:
"CHICKORY CHICK
CHILAR CHILAR
CHICKER REOMEE
IN A FERNONIKA
NOLIKA WOLIKA
CAN'T YOU SEE
CHICKORY CHICK IS ME"
