I was a child during the war, one year old when it started and six years old when it finished.
We lived in Sheffield. I remember seeing them bombing Sheffield, it was very loud.
The food we had to eat was very basic, there wasn鈥檛 much about.
My mother was a canteen assistant.
Everyone played together and when the end of the war came I can remember everyone dancing and being very happy.
