An evacuee called Jimmy came to stay with us from Nechells in Birmingham.
He stayed with us for about six months.
He woud eat everything in bread as a sandwich - even tins of pears.
We got on well, but he was older than me - he was probably about 12 years old and therefore went to a different school to me.
He didn't have much.
My mum and dad used their clothing coupons to buy him sme long trousers because he didn't have any.
