We used to have all kinds of parties to cheer us up. Every Saturday night, my mum would open her doors and the lady next door used to have a piano, and they鈥檇 carry it into my mum鈥檚 house. The kids would have parties in the street too. Everybody made do, to enjoy themselves in between the bombings. I used to go dancing in the Grafton, but stopped going because the black and white soldiers weren鈥檛 allowed to mix, the room was split.
