I was evacuated along with my younger sister in 1940 aged 10. We were orphaned in March 1941 having lost both my parents and older sister in the Blitz. The American Red Cross and Air Force temporarily adopted us. In 1943 I was approached by the 大象传媒 to make a broadcast to America.
