DREAMING 1945
I Dream of Home So Often
And The One That I Adore
My Slippers There
Neath The Old Armchair
And The Carpet On The Floor
________
I鈥檓 Dreaming Too, Of The Days We Spent
In Sundays pleasant Toil
Sowing Seeds,
And Pulling Weeds
Or Digging Up The Soil
________
I鈥檓 Dreaming Too, Of Winters Nights
Sat Round A Roaring Fire,
A Cup Of Tea
Upon My Knee,
And You My Hearts Desire
________
But Most Of All I鈥檓 Dreaming Of
The One I Long To See
My Darling Wife
In Peace Or Strife
Means All The World To Me
________
And May God Grant That One Day Soon
My Dreams Will Still Be True
And May He Speed
The Day Indeed
When I鈥檒l Be Greeting You
________
