I was born in Nottingham in June 1945. Shortly after my birth, my natural father said goodbye to me and I never saw him again. I didn't even know the father I was brought up by, wasn't my natural father, until my mother told me when I was aged 24.

She told me a few facts about him, but not enough for me to ever find him. Now that we live in the age of the internet, it would be easy to think that anything is possible but I haven't found him yet. I know that he would almost certainly be deceased now but he had at least one other daughter before I was born, so somewhere out there I have a half-sister. As an only child, it would be my greatest wish to find her.

I know that my father's name was Joseph Foster and that he came from California. If anyone has any ideas that might assist me in my search, please contact me. I should be forever grateful if I ever found her.
