These 3 girls happened to be walking the cliffs just as a ship's lifeboat came in towards the shore at Caerthillian Cove. They saw the boat capsize throwing the men into the sea. Only one survived and that was entirely due to the efforts of these girls who did everything that it was possible to do in the circumstances to aid the men.
