"This story was submitted to the site by the 大象传媒's Peoples War Team in the East Midlands with the Hickman familys permission. The author fully understands the site's terms and conditions. These items belonged to Fred Butterworth. The perspex cross in the envelope is made from the windscreen of a German Bomber which crashed near his airbase. The copper Spitfire was made from one old penny. Fred made these in his spare time. He gave the cross to his wife and made quite a few Spitfires to his frienda at home.
