Hitler started the war by invading Poland. Britain declared war on Germany on September the third 1939, when Hitler refused to withdraw his troops. Britain went into France in 1939 and were evacuated in1940 and built up large forces with America and three French soldiers and invaded France on D day in 1944. The war ended in 1945.

Message 1 - The Three French Soldiers

Dear Charlotte

You write:

I'm cetain that it was your very laudable intention to help Mr.Banks when you wrote the following article on his behalf.

It is a pity that no one bothered to check the article before you submitted it, because if they had, I'm equally certain that they would have noticed that the Free French Forces (led by General De Gaulle) had managed to shrink to 'three French soldiers' <smiley>

It is not too late to edit the article, I'm sure that Walter Banks would like you to keep the record straight.

I still give you ten out of ten for your good intentions !
