This story has been written by Teylor Hawkes of Finedon Mulso C of E Junior School on behalf of Margeret and Doris Brown with their permission. Doris and Margaret fully understand the site's terms and conditions.

I lived in Wellingborough when one afternoon the air raid siren started. Both me and my mother plus my two younger children went to the shelter at the bottom of the garden. The shelter was made out of iron and was very smelly and dark You could hear the bombs dropping. When we got the all clear sign, we went out side to total devastation. Later on we found out that. A German bomber had been shot down in Finedon by a spitfire.
