During the Second World War, Margaret Weaver was living in Leamington, but now lives in Tilston, Cheshire. When the war started, Margaret was working at Boots the Chemist and was given a six month exception so that she could remain working at the shop. At the end of those six months Margaret had to take a position at a Munications factory in Birmingham, were she would have to work in a large factory madding bullets. She travelled there by train with instructions to meet a guide at Birmingham station wearing a white armlet. He helped her to find accommodation with a host family. Margaret met her husband during the war - he was stationed in Stratford. They were married during the war. Her wedding dress was borrowed from a friend and they had to collect food coupons from friends and relatives for their wedding reception.
