When I was a boy, I went to school like usual during the war, living in fear of if I will return home that day. One day the air raid sirens went off during class so all the children had to dive under our desks and put on our gas masks, scared of if a bomb might hit the school or not. Luckily no bombs were bombs dropped at the time but it was still a terrifying experience, one that I would not like to have to go through again.
7 years after the war, I was still poor and had met my lovely fiance Phyllis. We could not afford a big wedding so Phyllis had someone else's wedding dress sewn on to her because the dress was so big and I brought a 拢5 suit from Oxfam but it was still one of the best days of my life.
