Later I was stationed near Moira. I saw the girl I was to marry.
It was love at first sight. There was no way a war was going to keep up apart and we managed to court and enjoy ourselves despite it.
Visits to pubs and families went on the same as ever and the uncertain times encouraged us to marry earlier than we would have normally.
