I was presented with a bouquet after the show.
I wrote poetry and plays during the war.
One play was called 鈥淏ehold the Dawn鈥. We made a collection at this play for the Prisoners鈥 of War fund and managed to raise 拢3-10s.
The leading man in this play was Freddy Millward, he had a very broad 鈥榖rummy鈥 accent.
I was presented with a bouquet after the show 鈥 which was witnessed by some top people who came to see the play.
