My husband worked in the munitions factory. He worked two weeks days and two weeks nights.
I found the nights on my own quite frightening since I was alone with our young baby.
I decided to make him a bed in a bath which I put under the table. I felt he was safer there and we could make a quick exit when the sirens sounded and we wanted to get to the shelter.
