During the war,I was an ambulance driver meeting wounded soldiers being bought back from France.
My job was to drive the ambulance(a converted removal van) to the station and wait for the troop trains to arrive.
Then we ferried them to hospitals.That was during the evenings.
During the day I worked full time in an office.I remember being ill for a time,but had to continue all my duties.
Many years later I had a chesy x-ray and it was discovered that I had in fact had T.B.
