THE GALLANTRY MEDALLISTS' LEAGUE

The Gallantry Medallists’ League embraces all holders of second level gallantry awards, both military and civilian, and their families, within the Commonwealth.

There is also a class of membership, Friends of the League, open to holders of level three gallantry awards and their families who wish to assist the League in the furtherance of its aims.

Holders of these gallantry awards qualify for Membership :-

UNITED KINGDOM

Level II
Distinguished Conduct Medal
Conspicuous Gallantry Medal (RN)
George Medal
Conspicuous Gallantry Medal (Flying)
Distinguished Service Order (when awarded for Gallantry)
Conspicuous Gallantry Cross

Level III
Distinguished Service Cross and Medal
Military Cross and Medal
Distinguished Flying Cross and Medal
Air Force Cross and Medal
Queens Gallantry Medal
CBE, OBE, MBE and BEM (when awarded for gallantry)

AUSTRALIA

Level II
Star of Gallantry
Star of Courage

LEVEL III
Medal for Gallantry
Bravery Medal

CANADA

LEVEL II
Star of Military Valour
Star of Courage

LEVEL III
Medal of Military Valour
Medal of Bravery

NEW ZEALAND

LEVEL II
Gallantry Star
Bravery Star

LEVEL III
Gallantry Decoration
Bravery Decoration

Associate membership is available to families and close relatives of award holders.

The aims of the League are: -
® To help those in need.
® To create, cherish and maintain the spirit of comradeship between League members of all classes.
® To organise social events for League members and provide assistance to those who wish to arrange meetings and reunions.
® To organise celebratory Parades and Musters for League members.
® To provide through the medium of a Newsletter (published three times each year)information concerning activities of the League and to provide the means whereby members can maintain contact with friends in the League.

Any WW2 veterans who hold any of the above awards are invited to make contacy and join.
