One day at Doncaster I was seeing my dad off at Doncaster Station as he was leaving to fight. The train was full of soldiers going off to their duties, and most were saying goodbye to their loved ones. This went on so long that the train was being delayed, and in the end the officer had to fire his pistol in the air so that the train could leave.
