Our family travelled by train to stay with relatives in Wiltshire. The sliding door in the carriage was hanging off and Granny kept saying it was very draughty.
It was an adventure to travel by train in those days, especially at Christmas!
I remember the tree and how they planted it back in the garden ready for next year.
My present off the tree was an old but real grown-up watch. I loved it so much that I wound it and wound it until it didn't work anymore!
Well that's what you do when you're only 5.
