I remember Dunkirk — they had to rescue them. All little boats were along the coast they went across to Dunkirk, they were under terrible fire. Civilians went out to save them, every little fishing boat went. It was all done voluntarily. They saved a lot but some didn’t survive, they were shot by the Germans.
