I was 13 years old at the time when I heard my first air raid siren. We didn鈥檛 have an air raid shelter yet, however Mr Sibley did. As soon as the siren went off, dad my sister and I went round Mr. Sibley鈥檚. as the plane went over Mr. Sibley was looking up watching the planes. He was so preoccupied he trip and fell backwards into a tin bath full of cold water! We all had to leave the shelter to help him out of the bath.
