I remember when fruit ,ornnges were wrapped in tissue paper. Mother used to send us over the Browns green grocers to see what tissue paper he had left over. We'd sit around the table and straighten out all the paper and use it for toilet paper.!
We used to get old sultana boxes and cut insoles for our shoes.
