When Christmas came the local butcher didn't have meat.
My granddad bred pigs on the allotment and he would give three pigs to the butcher at Christmas.
The butcher would give my granddad a bottle of whiskey every Christmas.
At least everyone in our area got a piece of pork for Christmas.
