I recall queuing for food. With both parents working Saturday morning, my
brother and I had to get in the food. We usually had 4 shops to cover. My brother did the Grocery and Butchers and I, with my list, did the Bakers and Green grocery - all Co-op of course. They opened at 8-00 am so it was 7-00 am start and by the time we finished Saturday Morning had gone.
