You had salt tablets you had to take 5 everyday.They were all getting sun burnt. The war was a very good idea and they called it the peoples war.The war started on the 3rd september 1939.They went to liverpool and india.On the ships there were about 5,000 people on each ship the ships went on the sea in zig zag so it made it harder for the Germans to bomb the ships In India they got told that they would have to stay there for about 7 years with out going back home to see there families it felt like they were in prison.It took 6 weeks for a letter/telegraph to get home.
