In 1945 I went as a teacher at Orcop School before attending college. The Headmaster was Eric Barker, his wife told me abut an activity that her husband had been involved in during the war, but he never gave her the details., other than to say that it had been very important. He went about every week, to a meeting at Michaelchurch airstrip. He took 2 other local men with him, but never said who they were, except that one was a shepherd. They went in his Austin 7. She thought it was to do with the ARP which was just a cover. All the meetings were at night.
