At one point during our journey we were going towards a place called Mong Mit. Now, Mong Mit, Mainglon, Mogok are places up in the Shan States. In peacetime precious stones were found there, so when we got there we tried to find some. We were digging around and hunting to see if we could find a few rubies. We didn鈥檛 find anything though.

It was very pleasant up in the Northern Shan States. It was higher ground and the Monsoon鈥檚 had finished by this time.
