Just after the war had finished -- some soldiers were sent from England for training in Egypt with those of us who had been fighting there. We nick-named them Pinkies -- because they looked so pink compared to those of us who had been in Egypt for many months. In this photo one of the lads is from Devon and another is from Merseyside.
