Lived in Leicester Causeway, father had built a brick air riad shelter, two thirds underground, garden backed to Turrells Garage, who were only lads, bill and Bob. Their father ran the garage which was also a petrol station. A bomb dropped onto their garage, therefore our ariraid shelter moved across an inch due to a blast. Was 9/10, had bunsk in the shelter, legs reached end of shelter. Don't worry mum i will hold it back. Next day, went to freinds shelter, as they were away, so used it, but it was 2 feet under water, but that night, a bomb dropped and destroyed the shelter, so lucky to be alive.
