I was down on the little green with my younger sister and there was an old gentleman sitting on the seat. All of a sudden we heard a noise and looked up, there was a big black plane coming over Cotwoods (Cotwoods is way up on the skyline) so the old gentleman said 鈥淨uick, quick lie down behind the stones.鈥 We thought Oh God! 鈥淕et down under the stones.鈥 So anyway we went down, got under these pile of stones, they were building a wall at the time, he just sat on the seat. So then this plane came down and just opened fire and it hit the Parish Church and the bullet marks are still there.
The refugees and all that came down and took over everywhere. That was our impression 鈥 little quiet Cornish town. They filled up the schools.
