"I鈥檓 a pupil from pupil from prudhoe community high school, Northumberland, entering Ethel brady鈥檚 story onto the website, and they fully under stand the website terms and conditions of use."

One day in the tram on the way to work Ethel herd an almighty bang .The normally boisterous tram fell silent. A young boy in the back of the tram looked outside and saw that the Baltic flour mills had been bombed. He shouted as loud as he could down the tram 鈥済et off the tram, get off the tram鈥. Ethel started to worry as she was opposite a place that had just been bombed. The tram emptied with haste. Ethel jumped out of the tram and followed some people to try and find an air raid shelter. They found a shelter but it was locked and those inside couldn鈥檛 open the door they ran for the next shelter and made their way to the entrance through a spiralled metal staircase. They ran down and entered the shelter as it was smaller than the last.

As they entered the shelter there was a lot of confusion as to what had happened many people had just herd a blast and ran for the nearest shelter, others like Ethel where almost opposite the blast and where talking about it.

The all clear was sounded and everyone returned to his or her business as normal, Ethel was shocked.
