I was with number five commando for four and a half years and did seven commando landings and took part in other sections. This story concerns Madagascar where we were fighting the french in 1942, because they were allowing japanease submerines to use their harbour. During this operation two enemy ships were caught in the harbour and itteligents found that two german agents had left the ship and were travelling south to escape our attention. Our troop leader , captain Robin Stewart was told to catch them. He formed a small patrol which travelled 300 miles before this was acheived and we brought them back and handed them over to the intelligence.
