I had a friend back in the early part of the war whom I went to school with she was a German born Jew. We were very good friends and she lived on the corner of the street where myself and my family lived. I knew my friend was Jewish but it did not occur to me to hate her as the Germans did. We were very close right up until she was taken away from me, I don't know where she or her family went they just disapeared out of sight I now know she must have been taken away by the Germans my father told me later the day she was taken away.
