I was born in 1911, I was 29yrs old and working as a draughtsman during the war in Glasgow. At the time of the Clydebank blitz I was staying in a suburb, fairly high up above Glasgow, and I remember watching the bombs dropping on Clydebank.
The following the day when I returned to work at the firm, P & W MacLELLAL, we had serveral calls for assistance from various factories around the area.
An outstanding point in memory is that, after the blitz, the transport system in glasgow was so good I could board a tram in Clarkstone, travel 7 miles into Glasgow centre and then to the outskirts of Clydebank.
