I am now 92 years old (2005).
During the war I lived at Burwash Wheald in East Sussex.
My older son was at school and I was at home with my four year old boy when a Doodle Bug bombed the house and I sheltered under the table.
I remember the floors came up and the ceilings came down - the house was so badly damaged it had to be completely rebuilt but when we were rescued from the house we were so dirty with black soot from the chimney that we had to go to my mothers house and the only way we could get clean was to wash in Rinso washing powder.
Another bomb dropped a hundred yards away and a farm got a direct hit and two people were killed.
