We came back to London some time during 1939/1940. We must have moved house from Lowfield Road, Kilburn to 28 Westcroft Way on the Westcroft Estate, Cricklewood. Lowfield Road was a basement flat and prone to flooding, plus a landmine landed on the railway at the top of the house making it unsafe. Although the house was still standing years later I think it has a lot to do with our doctor, Dr.Finlyson, getting mum moved for health reasons. I did not know a lot about this though, as I was only four when we lived there.
