Flackturm 1 was sited in the zooalogical Tiergarten in the centre of Berlin.
This story was submitted to the People's War web by a Volunteer on behalf of Harold Swain and has been added to the site with his permission. He fully understand the site's terms and conditions.
The picture should be connected with Part 2 of Harold Swain's War Operations under the heading of 'The Big City and in particular with the description of the Raid carried out on the night of 27/28 March, 1943. The Berlin Flack Tower shown is 'Flackturn 1, sited in the Zooalogical Tiergarten, in the centre of the city.
