I'm afraid that I can't give particulars but this is what my father (who had a passion for military history)told me at the time of the SBS action in the Falklands War)
Uncle Geoff, was born in Suez in 1920. He lived in Port Said Father (from London) and mother (from Sicily). His Dad worked for the Suez Canal Company. He'd grown up speaking Italian with his mother, English with father and French at the French school he attended. -So,he was a polyglot. When war broke out, he joined the eigth army. Initially, there wasn't much to do, except, for lying on his bunk, chain smoking.
