While in the army, we travelled down from Scotland in 1944, came across from Wellington, then we moved into the lay bys in Coventry Road, Lutterworth and from there we moved into Brandon in Suffolk.
There was quite a lot of dancing in the wartime. I saw Glen Miller at the London Palladium, in the Billy Cotton Band Show.
