Towards the end of the war we had to be in at 9pm every night.
They would have dances across at the school.
We would wait until mum and dad had gone to bed and then we would go creeping out to the dances.
It was Rock and Roll music.
There also used to be ballroom dancing but there was no sequence dancing.
I remember the Yanks coming to Highbury Hall.
I used to talk to them.
My dad didn't like me talking to them.
They used to give us chewing gum.
