Some may question the term 'slavery' and object that all it would have meant was that a German Govenor would have sat over our Parliament to ensure that Britian behaved quietly.
If so, they have not read of the experiences of the countries of Europe over run by the Nazi army.Factories staffed by conquered people shipped there in cattle trucks turned out stuff for the Master Race.
Carefully calculated starvation and the whip ensure discipline and regulate output wonderfully.
The conquered countries only use was to fatten the centre of a mighty Empire as it posed and strutted in self made glory. To have avoided that terrible fate is surely cause for the most profound thanks to the Lord God of Creation on this 17th day of July [2005].
Other critics ask why two events on the dates that the War in Europe and that in Asia ended were not planned. Well, can a miracle be given a repeat?
