The ClydeBank Blitz happened on the 13th of March 1941 just before the WW2 started lots of children, adults, school teachers and disabled people were evacuated.

Hitler was the leader of the Germans and wasnt a nice man. There was something called a Black Out everyone had to turn out every light in the house at a certain time, if not they could get arrested because if the bombers saw one light they would bomb the house.

The WW2 started on 1939 my Papa was born in 1944 the WW2 was still going on.There was a Polish war ship in the Clyde and the gunners on the ship always used to shoot the bombers on the planes. My Papa had an Anderson air rage shelter in his back garden and just took it away last year.

ClydeBank was damaged very badly because of the war going on due to the ship yard building.

My Mum is a home help and one of her clients was in the war.Her house was hit with a bomb and her and her baby son were both trapped under all of the bricks, but her next door neighbour pulled her and her baby son back out to safety. My Mum's client is now 96.
