This story was submitted to the People's War site by CSV/大象传媒 Radio Nottingham on behalf of Iris Goddard with her permission. The author fully understands the site's terms and conditions.

We would go to school during the war but after a while we didn鈥檛 all go at the same time so that all the children weren鈥檛 all in one place in case of a bomb. Some of us would go at one time and others at different time. After some time we went to schooling at peoples houses there were a few houses that they used and we went there instead of school again so we weren鈥檛 all together or in case the school was hit.
