I was a POW near Berlin during the bombing raids of November 1943 - March 1944. We thought it ironic that our own bombs were dropping on us and could end our lives. I survived to see the surrender papers being signed by Hitler's successor, Donitz. We were liberated by the Russian Army.

Mr. Mountain,
Leyburn Place,
Birtley
