Every Sunday evening from 1941 to 1944 my husband Ken and I had a very special half hour. Wherever he was stationed at the time, he knew that I was at home and we both listened to the Forces’ Favourites with Vera Lynne singing her lovely songs. Even to the present day she is still our favourite, singing ‘Yours.’
We have been wed for sixty-four years. We have been blessed with seven children, thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. We consider this to be quite an achievement.
