James Prior, Life on Farne Islands

These pictures are of my Uncle and his Army Friends, believed to Royal Artillery, whilst serving on the Farne Islands. I don’t know what he was doing there or what Units were based there, but would like to find out. He did not talk much about it, but he said it was the best time of his life. My Uncle was a bit of a ‘loner’, and as a countryman, said he enjoyed the wildlife on the islands.
