A doodlebug dropped on the other side of the church on Bow Road, my mum鈥檚 flat was opposite the church on the fourth floor. The bomb landed on the churchyard and next minute a tomb stone shot through the window on my mum and dad鈥檚 bed.

The dairy was hit and both the man and woman wore killed, the daughter survived.

here was a Selby鈥檚 undertaker and with the explosion the coffins in the shop blasted through onto the street.
