I was an evacuee in the war years we all met at school with the billeting officer who sorted us into groups. We then went on the bus to London Euston Station, and then we went on the train to our destination, Western Supermare.
Then my friend Jean and I were taken to our new address we lived with a clerger man and his wife for ten months. We had to say prayers every day and went to church three times on Sunday. We were there for ten months then our mums came down to take us home then after after a few months we had bad time with the doodle bugs so off we went agin to LEICESTER FOR EIGHT MONTHs
