Born August 1935 Nottingham.
During the War years Nottingham City Transport parked motor buses on the main road through Forest Rereation ground. In those days there were only four Depots the meadows, Sherwood, Bulwell and parliament Street. On some of the main roads in the city were placed at intervals, machines for creating smoke screens.
During air air raids mainly may 1941, we lived in a terrace house in New Basford, with shelters built in the streets, we also had a space under the stairs.
